چکیده

We conducted a case-control study to investigate the role of IL-17A (rs2275913G>A and rs3748067C>T) and IL-17F (rs763780 T>C) gene polymorphisms in the susceptibility to CAD in a Chinese population. Between July 2013 and December 2014, a total of 184 patients with CAD and 184 control subjects were consecutively selected from the Hebei General Hospital. The IL-17A rs2275913G>A and rs3748067C>T and IL-17F rs763780T>C polymorphisms were genotyped using PCR-RFLP. By chi-square test, a significant different was found in the genotype distributions of IL-17A rs2275913G>A between CAD patients and control subjects (χ2=0.66, P=0.72). By unconditional multiple logistic regression analysis, we found that the CC and TC+CC genotypes of IL-17F rs763780T>C was associated with increased risk of CAD when compared with the TT genotype, and the adjusted OR (95% CI) was 3.55 (1.20-12.66) and 1.71 (1.03-2.97), respectively. However, no significant association was found between IL-17A rs2275913G>A and rs3748067C>T and development of CAD. In our study, we suggest that IL-17F rs763780T>C polymorphism could influence the development of CAD in a Chinese population.

Correlation between polymorphisms in the IL-17A and IL-17F genes and development of coronary artery disease.

A case-control study was conducted to investigate the association between genetic variants of IL-17A rs2275913 and IL-17F rs763780 and the development of coronary artery disease (CAD) in a Chinese population. A total of 306 individuals with CAD and 306 unaffected individuals were enrolled from the Zhengzhou People's Hospital between May 2012 and May 2014. The IL-17A rs2275913 and IL-17F rs76378...

Interleukin-17 Gene Polymorphisms Contribute to Cancer Risk

Epidemiological studies have suggested that interleukin-17 (IL-17) polymorphisms are associated with cancer risk. However, the results of these studies are inconsistent. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to obtain a precise conclusion. Odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the association of the IL-17A rs2275913G>A and IL-17F rs763780T>C polymorphisms w...

IL-17A G197A gene polymorphism contributes to susceptibility for liver cirrhosis development from patients with chronic hepatitis B infection in Chinese population.

BACKGROUND IL-17A G197A and IL-17F A7488G gene polymorphisms are found to be associated with the risk of several diseases, however few studies have focused on their correlation with risk of liver cirrhosis (LC). AIMS The aim of this study was to assess the impact of IL-17A G197A and IL-17F A7488G gene polymorphisms on development of LC from chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in Chinese patients. MET...

Association of -77T>C and Arg194trp polymorphisms of XRCC1 with risk of coronary artery diseases in Iranian population

Objective(s): Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the leading cause of death in both male and female worldwide. The main cause of CAD is the atherosclerosis of coronary arteries, which is, mostly caused by genetic alteration. 50% of such cases occur in mitotic cells where single-strand breaks occur spontaneously or due to ionizing radiation. X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 1 (XRCC1) as a ...
